Mental Athlete Spotlight: Stand Up! For Yourselves and Others

At Mental Athlete Apparel, we believe that being a “mental athlete” isn’t just about endurance or strength—it’s about compassion, inclusion, and courage. That’s why we’re thrilled to make our second donation to Stand Up! For Yourself and Others, a powerful initiative in Williamsburg, Virginia that’s doing vital work to uplift children, fight bullying, and celebrate individuality.

What Is Stand Up! For Yourself and Others

Stand Up! is an anti-bullying initiative sponsored jointly by HART (Historic Area Religions Together) and the Williamsburg Community Foundation. Founded in October 2023, its mission is clear: help children learn to value individual differences and to reduce the negative effects of anti-group bias. standupforyourselfandothers.org

One of Stand Up!’s first projects was held over MLK Weekend: a puppet show presented in response to growing concern about how bullying is affecting children in our community. standupforyourselfandothers.org Beyond performances, the initiative also creates and delivers art and literature programs—offering books, puppet shows, and related resources to libraries and faith communities.
